The Smart II is the replacement model for the popular Smart 1.  The main differences are: larger brighter screen and switch access support.

The Smart II is a palm sized portable communication aid supplied as standard with Mind Express CE, RealSpeak voices, PCS symbols, Smart vocabularies, Express Talk Vocabularies, PC Software, Stylus and Carry case.

Major features

The Smart II has two amplified speakers that generate loud and clear speech.  The Smart II can also be connected wirelessly via Bluetooth to either amplified speakers or a Bluetooth headset for private communication with another person in a noisy environment.

The bright and clear LED backlit screen automatically adjusts its brightness depending on the ambient light levels.

1 or 2 switch scanning is an input option as well as direct selection.  Acceptance times, post selection delay and many scanning algorithms are supported.

The Smart II is easily programmed directly on the device using the supplied stylus or via a keyboard and mouse that can be plugged directly into it. Vocabularies can also be imported and exported from the Smart II onto a PC.  These can then be modified using the supplied PC software.

The Smart II works with symbols and text or a combination of both.  Word Prediction is also supported.  When symbols are selected they can also be shown in the sentence window for ease of recognition for the user.
