Keyboard

The Allora has a silicone elastomeric waterproof keyboard with normal sized keys. The tactile key switches have a small travel and low actuation force. A keyguard is available at extra cost.

Display

The LCD display consists of 2 lines of 40 characters. The first line is used to write the message. The second line displays the word prediction list.

Word Prediction

Allora’s advanced text-to-speech system is extended with an intelligent word prediction system. While a message is written on the first line of the display, the second line displays a predicted list of words that begin with the already typed character(s). When a complete word has been typed or inserted, Allora predicts the next word using its knowledge of word pairs. Allora’s word prediction can save about 50% of keystrokes, which significantly speeds up communication.

Pre-Programmed Message

Allora has a dedicated switch to recall pre-stored messages. Commonly used phrases can be easily programmed under any keyboard key switch.

Enviromental Control

The optional infra-red remote control module (GEWA) allows you to control infra-red based equipment using Allora. For example, Allora can learn the infra-red codes of your television to turn it on or off, change channel and control the volume.
